Is It Possible To Keep Your Same Phone Number When Switching Providers?

I am switching from Net10 to Verizon and also changing phones as well, is it possible to use the same phone number I have with Net10 and use it for Verizon? If so, how do I go about doing that?Is It Possible To Keep Your Same Phone Number When Switching Providers?
make sure that net10 has your information (name, address, etc) in their files attached to your phone number. since it is pre paid, you are of course not required to provide this, but when verizon goes to activate your new account with them, they will need to be able to check that you ';own'; that number. when you call or go into a store to set up your new verizon account, tell them then that you want to port the number, and they should be able to take it from there. good luck!Is It Possible To Keep Your Same Phone Number When Switching Providers?
When I switched from Cingular to Verizon I was able to keep my number.



Just ask Verizon when you go into get your phone.
If you want to keep your number, you can... Wireless Number Portability is a law now, they have to let you keep your number unless you owe your previous company money.
