How do you change the phone number on a Blackberry Pearl 8130?

My brother bought a BB Pearl from an acquaintance and doesn't know how to set up a new phone number. There doesn't seem to be a SIM card?How do you change the phone number on a Blackberry Pearl 8130?

you call the cell provider and have your number transferred. if the phone however doesnt have a sim and you currently use a provider that uses a sim ( like at%26amp;t ) them he cant use the phone anyway.example : if your brother is an at%26amp;t customer and bought the bb from a verizon customer. verizon does not use sim cards and they flag there phones so they cany work with other proviers.by the sound of it....your bro just paid for a phone he cant use ....
I believe the acquaintance has to first ask for the phone to be deactivated. Then you can call your provider and ask that your number be transferred to the new phone.
