say for example that u send a text message to a friend

you know how it shows the # of who sent it it?

is it possible for the sender to change their number or somehow alter it

so that the receiver sees a different phone number?Is it possible to change your number on you phone?
This is called ';Call Spoofing.'; It can't be done with text messages but by using this site: (http://www.telespoof.com/freecall/agi) you can change the number that shows up on the person you call's caller id. Hope I helped!
