Do you think having an Out of Area phone number is bad when looking for work?

I could not get approved for a phone, so my girlfriend add another account to her cell phone (I never ask her for this) but give me a Los Angeles, CA (310) phone number. We are both located in Tampa, Fl(813)



How would this affect a Resume or interview.



P.S. She refuses to change the phone number. We are making plans to move to LA in a few years, so she is keeping my number.

I don't think it will. And I wouldn't work for an employer if he is so stingy that he doesn't want to dial long distance to schedule an interview.
