How do I change my number to a new phone?

My service plan is Verizon.

I have the Samsung Juke but It broke.

So I got an old phone from a neighbor to use

until I get a new one but I don't know how to step it up with my number? It says insert SIM card but my old phone (The Juke) doesn't have a SIM card. So how can I change my number to this phone? Help please.How do I change my number to a new phone?
