Do i have to change my phone number?

ok so i want the sidekick 2008 the 1$ a day prepaid plan and im going to activate it at home how do i keep my same number?Do i have to change my phone number?
If you all ready had a SIM card from T-Mobile, then all you would do is put your previous SIM card into the phone and you would still have your number.



But if you had a SIM card from a different company you could unlock the phone (easy to do) then use your old SIM card with it and you would still have your old phone number. If you didn't want to unlock the phone, and go with T-Mobile, I'm pretty sure you would have to get a new phone number.



If you were with a provider that did not use SIM cards, and programmed the number into the cell phone, then you switched to T-Mobile, you would have to get a different phone number unfortunately.
